Police nab 15 bales of bhang in Meru

According to the National Police Service (NPS), the officers acted on a tip-off from the public and intercepted an Isuzu Lorry along Ruiri-Nchiru Road in Imenti North Sub-County. 

Upon spotting the officers, the driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. After an intensive search, the officers discovered the contraband hidden in a secret compartment.

They secured the drugs and towed the vehicle to Meru Police Station while launching a hunt for the driver. 

Further, NPS applauded the public for providing information that led to the seizure of the drugs.

"We encourage the public to continue supporting the fight against narcotics by sharing information," NPS posted on X.
