Posta Rangers head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has bemoaned missed chances in their 0-0 draw against Mathare United in Friday’s Kenyan Premier League (KPL) game played at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Rangers stumbled for the third time in a row after being held by the unbeaten Mathare, having missed a host of goal-scoring chances and Omollo says he is now concerned with his misfiring forwards.

“This is the third game we’re having a stalemate. We had two or three chances I think we should have buried but we didn’t take them. It’s a good thing we’ve kept three clean sheets in a row but now the homework is to finish,” Omollo told Citizen Digital.

The draw left Posta Rangers eighth in the table with 11 points from eight matches, four behind leaders Gor Mahia who have played three games less.

Pamzo’s opposite number Salim Ali was quick to shift focus on the next game where the slum boys are pencilled to play champions Gor Mahia FC on November 6.

“Next game we’re not playing an easy team; Gor are the champions and have match fitness for but at the end of the day 90 minutes will judge us,” Salim said.

Mathare are ninth with 11 points jointly with Posta Rangers who has superior goal ratio.
