President Ruto arrives in South Africa for two-day State Visit

President Ruto, accompanied by First Lady , was received in the South African capital as the two countries reaffirmed their long-standing partnership spanning more than three decades.
President Ruto described Kenya-South Africa ties as having evolved into a strategic partnership anchored on trade and investment, pharmaceuticals, and vaccine development, as well as a shared vision for Africa’s economic transformation.
President Ruto noted that South Africa’s diversified and growing economy, particularly its manufacturing sector, continues to demonstrate the continent’s industrial potential, with lessons and opportunities that can be leveraged across Africa.
He further highlighted the steady growth in bilateral trade, pointing to the increasing presence of South African companies operating in , which have contributed to job creation and broader economic development.
The Head of State emphasized that both countries are committed to consolidating these gains while exploring new opportunities to deepen cooperation in trade, innovation, and people-to-people exchanges during the State Visit.
