President Ruto splits Hussein Mohamed's docket from PCS Head Mugonyi's office in new changes

The change was made in an Executive Order No.1 of 2023 issued by the Head of State on Monday reassigning functions and institutions among Ministries and State Departments.
According to the previous order, Executive Order No.1 of 2022, State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed was appointed to be the deputy to the Head of Presidential Communication Service David Mugonyi.
The latest development now means the Executive office of State House spokesperson shall be distinct from that of the Presidential Communication Secretary, streamlining and eliminating bureaucracy in communication at State House.
The State House Spokesperson will lead a team of communicators, and researchers and will provide an interface with other arms of government.
Other key offices under the Office of the President include; Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service, Secretary to the Cabinet, State House Comptroller, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Council of Economic Advisors, Office of the National Security Advisor, Office of the Women Rights Advisor, Office of the Council of Climate Change Advisor, The Private Secretary to the President, Office of Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy and Office of the Economic Transformation.
