President William Ruto is set to launch the second phase of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project in Eldoret today, an initiative aimed at empowering the youth in entrepreneurship.

The event, to be held at Eldoret Sports Club, is also a disbursement exercise for the successful youth who have qualified for the funds.

The Ministry of Cooperatives says approximately 50,000 beneficiaries will receive Ksh. 22,000 deposited into their NYOTA mobile wallets, with an additional Kshs. 3,000 allocated to their NSSF savings account.

The disbursement schedule will take place in Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Trans-Nzoia, Turkana, and West Pokot counties.

Nakuru will host events on January 9 and 12 for Nakuru, Narok, Bomet, Kericho, Baringo, Laikipia, Isiolo, and Samburu counties.
