Ronald Karauri's wife congratulates him for Kasarani MP win

Minutes after he was announced MP-elect by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Thursday,  Ruth Karauri took to social media thanking the people of Kasarani for voting for him. 

"Thank you to the people of Kasarani for trusting him. I can assure you he will deliver on his promises!," she wrote on Twitter.

Karauri was issued his nomination certificate at the Kasarani constituency tallying centre on Thursday. 

He contested on an Independent ticket garnering 32,406 votes against his opponents John Kamau who got 30,444 and incumbent MP Mercy Gakuya who had 24,790 votes.

Ruth works as a pilot with the national carrier - Kenya Airways.
