President William Ruto has said his administration is righting the past wrongs that led to systematic discrimination of Kenyans in North Eastern, assuring residents of equal treatment.

The President, who spoke in Mandera Stadium in the company of leaders from the region, urged locals to register for identification cards to access government services, saying the scrapping of vetting had removed bureaucratic red tape which sidelined many Kenyans living along the country's borders.
