Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Ibrahim Shikanda is confident his side
will bag maximum points when they take on Posta Rangers in their next FKF
Premier League fixture on Saturday.
The Sudi based millers forced hosts Bidco United to a 1-1 draw
in Thika on Saturday, and Shikanda believes they can build on the result to win
their first match this season.
Nzoia have lost three and drawn two in their first five fixtures
of the Premier League; while Posta Rangers have won two, drawn once and lost
two matches so far.
“We really need to score
goals, we need to push hard in our Saturday assignment against Posta, we have
to pocket the three points at any cost, my boys are in high spirits, we need to
find our way back to winning ways,” he said.
The millers are 16th on
the 18-team log with just 2 points, from the five outings.
Despite the slow start, Shikanda
believes the team will find the rhythm they need to better their last season’s
overall performance.
“The team is stronger and
better than last season, we have players who will make a difference and I am
hopeful we will grind out positive results,” he said.
The mail men sit 9th on
standings with seven points, six shy off league leaders Bandari, Homeboyz and
Gor Mahia who are joint top but only separated by goal margin.
