Taveta: Police officer shoots colleague dead, turns gun on self

An officer from Kimala police station in Taveta, Taita Taveta County died on Thursday morning after being shot by a colleague. 

The suspect is said to have shot his colleague four times, with his motive being unknown. 

After the shooting, the officer turned the gun on himself, inflicting serious injuries on his body. 

The officer is receiving treatment at the Taveta Sub-county hospital as police begin investigations into the incident.
