Three people, among them two children, have died after a bus they were travelling in collided head-on with a lorry and a private car at Kamara area in Kuresoi North, Nakuru County, on Saturday evening.

Witnesses say the bus that was heading towards Eldoret from Nakuru developed mechanical problems leading to the crash.

The aftermath of the crash saw one male and two children aged 7 years and 10 months respectively succumb to injuries.

Kuresoi North Sub County Police Commander Judah Gathenge says 51 people were injured and rushed to the Molo and Londiani Sub County Hospitals for treatment while those critically ill were referred to Kericho Sub County Hospital.
