Allans Ademba and Sophie Njehia, while appearing on Citizen TV's Sunday Live show, warned politicians against hopping on the bandwagon, trying to erode the motive of the spirited clarion call among the Kenyan youth.
"Tuko Kadi is an equivalent of Ruto Must Go, that you are a one-term president," Njehia noted. "He should not get it twisted. There is no two ways about it."

She added that the campaign will help bridge the gaps between the young and older generation, remaining hopeful that political conversations across the nation will take a drastic shift — one that will vouch for electing political leaders based on merit and not sycophancy.
On his part, Ademba, who launched the campaign, said that political leaders should not take credit for the nationwide civic participation, which is solely led by citizens.
"We are mobilizing Kenyans to register to vote; we do not want you anywhere in the picture. For now, don’t ruin this, don’t interrupt our process," he said.
"This is not a politician-led mass voter registration; this is a citizen-led mass voter registration. We don’t have the money, but we don’t want your money; just sit at home."
They argued that the current administration has proven incompetent in providing efficient service delivery to Kenyans and should not be given a second run at the reins of power.
They maintained that vices like the unjustified killing of the Kenyan youth during the 2024/25 anti-government protests, the incessant pilferage of public resources, lack of accountability and outright breaches of the rule of law will be the motivation to elect new leadership in the 2027 polls.
#TukoKadi saw a sweeping success after Ademba managed to oversee the successful voter registration of over 500 Gen Z at the Kasarani D. O offices, radically changing the country's political trajectory, with focus once again shifting to the Gen Z's unorthodox political strategies.
The Kasarani civic drive was lauded by thousands online, with prominent figures, political candidates, seasoned activists and political experts commending the fast-rising mobilizer for his masterful people skills.
Kenyan politicians sought to align themselves with the movement, many openly expressing their admiration of the #Tukokadi movement and others even explicitly adopting the slogan, using it in their messaging and even creating their own posters and Gen Z-friendly communication.
The leaders, among them President Ruto, Rigathi Gachagua, Fred Matiangi, Kalonzo Musyoka and other political voices, have attempted a go at joining the movement, but have met with sharp ridicule from the Kenyan youth.
