Turkana MCA Michael Egialan dies

Turkana County Assembly has announced the passing on of Lakezone ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Michael Egialan Ekwar after batting Oesophagus cancer for more than a year.
Egialan served as a first-term MCA in the County Assembly of Turkana after being elected on a UDA ticket.
While releasing a statement to the media Turkana County Assembly Speaker Christopher Nakuleu stated the late MCA was a hardworking leader who participated in raising important motions and bills in the Assembly.
Nakuleu stated that before the late MCA Joined politics, he served as the chairman of NGCDF Turkana North from 2013-2021. Before the position, he was a senior chief of Ng'isiger Location, a position he held for more than 20 years.
Burial preparations are underway in Lowarengak village, Turkana North.
