Twitter is down globally

Social media platform Twitter has reportedly crashed, locking out thousands of users from the popular application.

The outage has been reported across different parts of the globe.

Any attempt to login into the platform, from both the web and mobile platforms, returns an error message.

In the rare occasion that the login is successful, retrieving tweets from any feed or page proved problematic. 

As it stands, the reason behind the outage is currently unknown with Twitter yet to give an official statement on the same.
