Two murder suspects arrested in Siaya

This follows the arrest of two suspects accused of attempting to dispose of a body along the busy Busia–Kisumu Highway.

According to police reports, locals intercepted the suspects near Savannah area as they tried to dump the body of the unidentified man.

The crowd quickly gathered, confronting the suspects and subjecting them to mob justice before officers from Ugunja Police Station responded to the scene and rescued them.

The suspects, Joseph Omondi and Calisto Oyugi, sustained injuries during the mob attack and were later treated at Ambira Sub-County Hospital before being discharged. They are currently in custody at Ugunja Police Station.
