UDA's David Ndakwa edges out Seth Panyako of DAP-K to win Malava MP seat

The Independent
Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has declared the United Democratic
Alliance (UDA) candidate David Athman Ndakwa the MP-elect in the Malava Constituency
by-election held on Thursday.
According to
official results announced by Returning Officer Salim Abdalla Salim, Ndakwa
clinched the seat with 21,564 votes, edging out his closest rival, Seth Panyako
of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), who garnered 20,210 votes in a
tightly contested race.
Wilberforce Indai
of Kenya Moja came in at third place with 626 votes.
The by-election saw 43,675 ballots cast out of 94,417 registered voters, translating to a 46.2% voter turnout across all 198 polling stations, whose results were declared final.
