Isiolo: Mentally challenged man murdered, head chopped off

Residents of Isiolo were on Thursday morning treated to the gruesome murder of a mentally challenged man.

The body of the 40-year-old was found dumped by the roadside near the entrance to Isiolo Girls Secondary School.

His fingers and head were also reportedly chopped off.

“We suspect the man was murdered and his body parts chopped of elsewhere before being brought back and dumped here as this is where he usually sleeps,” said a resident.

“We’ve lived here with this man for many years and he has never had any problems with anyone. Despite being challenged, he was still a decent human being and we ask the government to look into his cold murder,” said a guard at the school.

“I’m a security guard here at Isiolo Girls. He would come here sometime and sit with me and I would give him food whenever there was any,” she added.
