Veteran broadcaster Waweru Mburu’s final journey

Veteran broadcaster Waweru Mburu’s burial service now underway at Muranga Teachers Training College.

Waweru, who was the head of Radio Citizen, will be laid to rest thereafter at his Makuyu home.

Waweru Mburu succumbed to gastric cancer last week while undergoing treatment at MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi.

Among those in attendance is Royal Media Service Ltd Chairman Dr SK Macharia, Vice Chair Gathoni Macharia, Group Managing Director Wachira Waruru, Group Chief Operating Officer Farida Karoney and Head of Radio Fred Afune among others.

May the Lord rest his soul in peace.
