Kenya is on the verge of its own agricultural revolution in light of the changing climate. Experts warn that the opportunities are immense as a huge chunk of non arable land could be transformed into productive land, essentially tilting the food production scales in the greater rift valley and parts of western Kenya perceived as the bread basket.
On the flipside, failure by successive governments to inform farmers of the looming drastic changes in agriculture courtesy of climate change is a crisis in waiting. Alex Kubasu gives us a special report on Kenya’s diminishing bread basket.
