Wamanga backs Shujaa to shine in Hong Kong despite tough pooling

Kenya became the third men’s side to qualify for the season-ending HSBC SVNS World Championship Series after marshalling three wins from their opening four matches at the final HSBC SVNS2 Sao Paulo, a feat Wamanga has attributed that to teams sticking together for along time.

“They have shown a lot of improvement in every game that they played they look sharp and well organized hence deserve to be promoted,” said Wamanga

Shujaa were relegated to division two at the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season but Wamanga believes they have what it takes to hit top form and announce their arrival in the series.

“They understand each other and they have been together for a long time if that continues we will see very good results in the future,” added Wamanga

With the national term one games slated for next month, the veteran tactician has says the rugby title will go down to the wire thanks to the excellent preparations their rivals have had.

“The competition is going out be very tough for teams, we will have a new champion now that the defending champion is not their I expect to see very high quality of rugby which will be good for the sport,” he added.
