Kenya Police Bullets tactician David Vijago has urged his players to stay focused ahead of their next assignment against Madira Soccer Assassins as they aim to harvest maximum points in the FKF Women's Premier League fixture.
The teams will lock horns on Sunday, January 11 at Nyang'ori Grounds in Majengo Kisumu, where a win will solidify the law enforcers supremacy in the 12-team league.
Police earned a walkover on Wednesday against Kisumu-based Kisped who failed to show up for the match that had been scheduled to take place at Police Sacco Stadium.
The walk over propelled them to the summit of the league with 22 points, one ahead of second placed Vihiga Queens as Ulinzi Starlets, Trinity Starlets and Kayole Starlets occupy third to fifth positions with 20, 20 and 16 points respectively.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Vijago who replaced Beldine Odemba as the new Bullets head coach in late September 2025, said they have had intensive training ahead of the match.
“We reported to training early enough on December 30, 2025 and we have had proper training so far and are very ready to face Madira.
“Only my two players, who I can't reveal their identity, picked nocks in previous fixtures but they are recuperating well and hope they come back to the team soonest.”
“The walk over took us to the top of the league but also it denied us chance to increase our goal tally. I believe if Kisped showed up we could have won with a big margin.”
“Against Madira on Sunday we are very positive. It will not be an easy match because our opponents are equally up to the task but we will work hard,” he added.
Other Sunday fixtures will see Ulinzi Starlets taking on Bungoma Queens at Bungoma Polytechnic, Zetech will host Kayole Starlets at the Zetech University Man’gu campus while Kisumu All Starlets host Vihiga Queens at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Only one match will be played on Saturday pitting Trinity Starlets and Gideon Starlets at Comboni Polytechnic Grounds.
