The new lineup is built around what the company calls REDMI Titan Durability, a design approach that emphasizes longer battery life, reinforced structural strength and enhanced dust and water resistance, alongside significant upgrades in imaging, performance and overall user experience.
The launch underscores Xiaomi’s continued focus on the competitive mid-range smartphone segment, where durability, reliability and long-term value are increasingly important to consumers.
At the heart of the REDMI Note 15 Series is a renewed emphasis on endurance. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G leads the range with a 6,500mAh silicon–carbon battery, marking the debut of this battery technology in the REDMI Note lineup.
The design allows higher energy density in a compact form factor and is paired with 100W HyperCharge fast charging and reverse charging support. According to Xiaomi, the Pro models are engineered to retain at least 80 percent of battery capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to approximately six years of typical use. The standard REDMI Note 15 features a 6,000mAh battery, while reverse charging is supported across the entire series.
Structural durability has also been reinforced across the lineup. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G has received SGS Premium Performance Certification, confirming resistance to drops, bending and compression. It features a reinforced internal structure, multi-layer shock absorption and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with certified drop resistance of up to 2.5 metres. Other models in the series have passed comprehensive shock and drop-resistance testing, offering added protection for everyday use.
Protection against environmental elements is another key focus. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G meets IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K standards for dust and water resistance and is certified to withstand immersion in water up to two metres for 24 hours. The remaining models offer enhanced resistance against splashes, spills and dust. All devices in the series support Wet Touch 2.0, ensuring the display remains responsive even when wet.
Imaging capabilities have been significantly upgraded across the range. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G features a new 200MP main camera powered by a large 1/1.4-inch image sensor, supporting optical-level in-sensor zoom and advanced HDR processing.
Xiaomi says the system is designed to deliver high levels of detail and consistent image quality across a wide range of lighting conditions. The Pro models support multiple focal lengths from a single lens, enabling greater flexibility for landscapes, portraits and close-up photography. The REDMI Note 15 is equipped with a 108MP camera system that offers a 3x optical-level telephoto experience.
Artificial intelligence plays a central role in the imaging experience, with features such as portrait enhancement, motion capture tools and reflection removal available across the series. Pro models additionally benefit from Xiaomi’s AI Creativity Assistant, which simplifies post-processing and content creation, while the standard model includes a suite of AI-powered editing tools aimed at everyday users.
Performance has also been enhanced across the lineup. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mobile platform and introduces Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system to the REDMI Note Series, improving thermal management during intensive tasks.
Other models are powered by the latest MediaTek chipsets, delivering improved energy efficiency and smoother performance. All devices support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, while the Pro+ model integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for more personalized AI-driven interactions.
Connectivity features have been expanded as well. The Pro models introduce Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling voice communication over long distances even without network coverage in supported conditions. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G also benefits from enhanced signal tuning for more stable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and cellular connectivity.
The series features large AMOLED displays ranging from 6.77 inches to 6.83 inches, with peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, high refresh rates and multiple eye-care certifications designed to improve viewing comfort. Audio performance has been boosted, with the Pro+ model offering up to a 400 percent volume increase, while the rest of the lineup supports a 300 percent volume boost for clearer and louder sound.
To mark the launch, Xiaomi Kenya is offering promotional bundles, including free Redmi Buds 6 Play with selected models, flexible installment payment options through Onfon’s Lipa Pole Pole plan, and up to 15GB of free data in partnership with Safaricom.
