Zenka Digital Limited has launched a computer learning center at Lighthouse Grace Academy in Mathare North, in a community project aimed at expanding digital literacy among learners.

The Zenka Computer Learning Center, unveiled at the school along Huruma Road in the Ruaraka area, is designed to give students access to computers and hands-on technology training.

The initiative seeks to close the digital learning gap by equipping learners with the skills needed for academic progress and future employment. Through the donation, Zenka is supporting the school's rollout of practical computer studies in line with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The launch featured the official unveiling of the facility, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and addresses from Zenka representatives and the school's leadership. Students, teachers and parents also gave testimonials, followed by a guided tour of the center and interactive learning sessions with pupils.

The project was driven by Zenka employees, who contributed their time and knowledge to support the learners at Lighthouse Grace Academy.

Access to technology remains a hurdle for many schools in the country.

The company said the center demonstrates how private sector organisations can back education by opening up opportunities for learners to acquire digital skills and use modern learning tools, better preparing them for a technology-driven future.
