Emirates Logistics sets Up regional hub at Tatu City SEZ

Emirates Logistics, a major player in supply chain and logistics across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, has announced its entry into the Kenyan market with the construction of a state-of-the-art facility at Tatu City Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

The new facility will support the company’s regional growth ambitions and cater to the needs of its global clientele across Sub-Saharan Africa. Located just 30 minutes from Nairobi, Tatu City SEZ offers a strategic location along East Africa’s key trade corridor.

“We are proud to strengthen our presence in Kenya with our expansion to Tatu City, reinforcing Emirates Logistics’ global footprint of comprehensive logistics capabilities. Being at the heart of Kenya’s economic engine allows us to deliver flexible, tailor-made solutions for our customers” said Steven van der Vliet, Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Logistics.

Construction is set to begin later this year, adding Kenya to Emirates Logistics’ network across 15 countries including South Africa, Tanzania, the UAE, India, and Bangladesh. The company boasts over 20 years of experience and operates warehousing, offices, and fleets across its markets.

Tatu City, the flagship development of Rendeavour, one of Africa’s largest new city builders, offers a conducive business environment designed to attract foreign direct investment.

“Tatu City warmly welcomes Emirates Logistics to its new home in Kenya. Our SEZ offers investors infrastructure-ready land and top-tier amenities including housing, schools, retail, and green spaces,” said George Kapanadze, Group CFO at Rendeavour.

Rendeavour’s urban developments across Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, and the DRC are valued at over $5 billion and host more than 200 businesses and 10,000 homes, either built or under construction.

Among the firms already operating at Tatu City are Heineken, Cold Solutions, Naivas, Dormans, Davis & Shirtliff, CCI Global, and NCBA.
