Forex Market Report – May 29th, 2015

The Kenyan shilling has today eased slightly against the U.S Dollar.

 

This comes just a day after the Central Bank of Kenya sold an unspecified amount of Dollars to forex dealers in a bid to stop the shilling from sliding further down against the Dollar.

The shilling is now exchanging at an indicative rate of 97.69 buying, 97.86 selling to the Dollar.

 

Against the Euro, the home unit is exchanging at 106.91 buying, 107.12 selling while exchanging at 149.74 buying, 150.07 selling versus the Sterling Pound.

Regionally, the shilling is trading at 6.96 buying, 7.06 selling to the Rwandese Franc, 21.25 buying, 21.39 selling to the Tanzanian shilling and at 31.13 buying, 31.29 selling to the Ugandan shilling.
