Kenya Power signs Ksh1.5B pre-paid meter deal

Kenya Power has awarded a Ksh.1.5 billion pre-paid meter tender to a Chinese firm.

Shenzhen Kelu Electronic Company will supply the second phase of the pre-paid meter and meter accessories.

In the deal, the firm will also supply single-phase prepaid meter, single-phase meter box as well as four-phase meter box to the utility firm.

The award is part of the ambitious last mile connectivity project now in its second phase.
