KQ’s First Dreamliner Plane To Jet In

National carrier, Kenya Airways' long awaited Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet is set to touchdown in Nairobi on Friday next week. While the arrival of the new jet will be a major boost to the airline's revenues, the national carrier is also bracing itself for additional tax burdens that come in the wake of the imposition of value added tax on aircraft spare parts. And as our reporter, Bella Genga tells us, the airline is already facing serious financial pressure arising from unpaid vat refunds running to close to one billion shillings.
