KRA Commissioner General James Githii Mburu is expected to remain at the helm of the tax man through to June 2024 following an ammendment of tenure.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani has through a gazette notice dated August 12 amended the term of office for the Commissioner General to five years from an initial three years.
The ammendment will see Githii serve an additional two years to mid-2024.
Githii Mburu was first appointed to the post on June 6 by the then Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich.
Githii replaced John Njiraini who had served on the role since March 2012.
He had previously served as KRA Intelligence and Strategic Operations Commissioner.
