Lifecare International on Tuesday launched a
medical concierge to offer comprehensive coverage, around-the-clock support,
and proactive health and wellbeing services in Kenya and beyond.
With the new proposition dubbed CURA, the insurance,
health, and well-being advisor partners with leading providers to provide specialist
treatment and referrals, client advocacy with insurers and medical centres,
booking appointments, and arranging second medical opinions and health
screenings.
Additionally, the insurance broker which
operates in the Middle East and Africa will cover global crisis and pandemic
assistance across the globe, addressing cases like evacuations, natural
disasters and crime.
The offering also comes with a fitness and wellbeing
platform with exercises and wellness activities guided by certified personal
trainers, emotional assistance and telehealth.
By focusing on wellness and mental health,
the company said it aims to foster a culture of wellness and health among its
vast clientele.
“With its focus on proactive healthcare,
CURA offers a range of services that go beyond traditional insurance coverage.
This comprehensive approach is particularly important in Kenya, where access to
quality healthcare can be limited in certain regions,” Lifecare International
said during the launch in Mombasa.
Lifecare International has been in the
healthcare coverage industry for the last 30 years and counts global insurance providers
such as Allianz Partners, Bupa Global, Cigna, AXA, April, Now Health and
Vitality as some of its partners.
