Power Company Connects Isiolo, Meru Counties

The company’s corporate communications head Raphael Mworia said that the 132KV power generated will be a boost to the Jubilee manifesto which aimed at connecting at least 70% of Kenyans to electricity by 2020.

Mworia added that the project is already halfway having laid power cables along the Isiolo-Meru highway -a distance of 30 kilometers-with the remaining parts of Isiolo-Nanyuki highway being completed before 2015.

The electrification program commenced in 2012 and has seen 41 counties benefiting from various projects that have been initiated with Marsabit, Lamu and Wajir counties expected to be covered.
