UAP fills vacant managerial posts

Regional based insurance firm UAP Old Mutual has made key appointments filling vacant executive posts triggered by the exit of its long-serving CEO Peter Mwangi.

The firm has picked Arnold Dippenaar from South Africa based Standard Bank as its new Group Chief Financial Officer replacing Arthur Oginga who graduated to the top CEO seat four months ago.

UAP has further named Abdallah Hussein as the Group Chief Operations Officer who previously served as Airtel Kenya COO.

Additionally, the underwriter has named Grace Thiong’o as the new Group Head of Compliance tapping her from a similar role at Faulu Microfinance Bank.

The new appointments substantially fills vacant managerial positions which followed notable exits in recent months.

Long-serving CEO Peter Mwangi for instance resigned in April this year as he sought to pursue new interests.
