Username Properties Ltd has launched Username Sacco, a new financial arm aimed at improving access to savings, loans, and property ownership among Kenyans.

The Sacco, licensed by the Ministry of Co-operatives and MSMEs, targets both local and diaspora members and plans to expand beyond its initial 100 members registered over the past ten months.

Chairperson Reuben Kimani said the Sacco seeks to provide affordable financial services while promoting financial literacy and inclusion.

He noted that integrity and transparency will guide operations as the institution focuses on good governance and innovation to support members’ economic goals.

CEO Sarah Wahogo said the Sacco aligns with Username Properties’ goal of helping more Kenyans achieve home ownership and financial stability.

Membership is open to any Kenyan with a valid ID, requiring a one-time registration fee of Ksh.1,000 and a minimum share capital of Ksh.5,000.

Username Sacco offers products such as instant loans, property financing with flexible repayment options, and savings plans that earn dividends. It also includes diaspora-focused loan products to enable Kenyans abroad to invest back home.

The Sacco aims to promote a saving culture, affordable credit access, and long-term wealth building among its members.
