The 'Rush' singer, born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, was slated to play at a sold-out concert at the Lighthouse Venue in Eccles, United Kingdom when the misshap occurred.
A distressed Starr took to social media to share her predicament with her fans and, at first, appeared visibly disturbed by the inconvenience.
In subsequent videos, she seemed to have loosened up a little bit and, having accepted the circumstances, broke into a praise and worship session with her crew singing along to Christian hymns.
The video shows a high-spirited Starr seated on the elevator's floor as her crew members smiled their way into a happy Christian tune.
After missing the show and obviously disappointing her fans, the singer made a Twitter update where she promised her fans a later date and apologize for the 'inconvenience'.
She wrote, "Manchester, I've been here to give you a great show but organizational delays held us back unfortunately. I'll be back on the 19th and I promise you a blast! I'm sorry for the inconvenience, guys! I love you all so much!"
Ayra Starr performed in Kenya on the 4th of March giving thousands of her fans an almost one-hour sizzling performance.
The Mavin signee latest hit Sability borrows heavily from Congolese legends' own Coupe Bibamba hit.
The track, which featured Jocelyne Béroard, became a staple in clubs across Africa in the early 2000s and has now found new life in the form of the Sabi Girl's interpolation.
