American rapper Kasseem Dean, popularly known as Swizz Beatz
has dismissed concerns regarding the steamy performance between his wife, Alicia Keys and Usher Raymond during the 58th Super Bowl Halftime show at Allegiant Stadium, Nevada on Sunday.
Swizz Beatz took to Instagram
to term the nostalgic hit “My Boo” performance as ‘nothing but amazing’ after
netizens highly criticised it, arguing that it was very inappropriate since
both Usher and Alicia are married.
“Y’all talking about the wrong thing! Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with two amazing giants,” Swizz said.
The classic hit performance was met with disapproval, with netizens
taking to X, to post funny memes aimed at the rapper
and to also express their opinions.
One user opined, “Why is Usher rocking her? That is
someone’s wife.”
'Now why was Usher all up on Alicia Keys like that, I know
Swizz's heart dropped in his stomach for that performance,’ another user wrote.
The rapper further commended Alicia Keys and Usher on
the amazing performance, calling the 'My Boo' smash hit ‘a classic’.
Usher is however not new to receiving criticism concerning his
approach to what he terms as 'serenading' female celebrities, some in relationships like Keke Palmer, Gabrielle
Union, Jessica Alba, and more.
