Amber Ray, Kennedy Rapudo officially engaged

Socialite Amber Ray has announced her engagement to boyfriend Kennedy Rapudo.

Amber shared the news with fans on Thursday by posting the proposal video on her Instagram account.

The video, whose accompanying soundtrack is Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's 'Perfect Duet' song, captures Amber dining at a dimly lit but romantic looking sandy white beachfront in Dubai as Rapudo approaches her from behind.

He then gets down on one knee before proposing to Amber who is all smiles by this point in time.

After a few minutes of conversing, the couple gets up with Rapudo turning to the camera and stating that Amber said 'yes'.

Amber then flaunts a large colourless-stoned engagement ring to the camera. The clip then pans up to the couple showing them sharing a warm embrace.

“Comments fupi fupi tafadhali, it's a yes,” Amber captioned the video.

The two love birds had travelled to Dubai on vacation to celebrate Amber’s 31st birthday. While on the trip, Rapudo wrote a heartwarming message to celebrate his future wife.

"My darling, I never felt happiness until you came into my life. You mean the world to me. On this special day of yours, I pray for sunshine, love, joy, peace, and happiness in your life. May God envelop you in His special love and shower you with His abundant blessings,” he said.

In late October, fans thought that Amber and Rapudo had agreed to tie the knot after a video of the couple went viral on social media.  

The video showed Amber, clad in an African-inspired dress, walking up to her lover before serving him a drink in front of a group of people.

Amber's sister captioned the video in a way that made it seem that the couple had agreed to get betrothed.

“Congratulations Amber Ray and Kennedy Rapudo. May God bless your union. I gained a brother today,” she said.

Amber however clarified the post noting that the event was more of a family introduction than an actual engagement after receiving numerous congratulatory messages from fans.
