The management of the popular Kilimani joint B-Club has reportedly temporarily shut down its operations in Nairobi.

The management had previously announced that it was closing its doors due to refurbishment and renovations purposes.

The establishment, in a statement posted on social media, announced then that it would be closed from March 1 to March 15, 2022.

“We thank you all for your continued support and are looking forward to host you all again very soon,” read the statement.

The club has in recent years been plagued with many calls for its closure due to varied reasons.

Kilimani residents previously successfully sued the nightclub, alongside three others in the area, for alleged violation of their right to a clean and healthy environment.

The Environment and Land Court then directed the Nairobi County Government to revoke all permits and liquor licenses issued to the popular entertainment joint.

B-Club was then reopened after carrying out some changes, among them soundproofing, before it was yet again faced with problems after a politician shot the resident DJ on the neck during a disagreement.
