Burn! Boniface Mwangi blasts Kanye West, and this is why

Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi is never one to back away from an argument, especially it comes to something he believes in.

While most of his social media salvos have been targeted at the government, on Monday he fired at American Hip Hop star Kanye West.

West made an ignorant remark about Africa being a country while taking a hit at TV mogul and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey.

His ignorance earned him a reprimand from the social media savvy activist, who was quick to point out that the rapper needed a geography lesson.

Other Africans joined in on the Twitter bashing with many asking how ‘an exposed person’ with many resources available to him could make such an obvious mistake.

The rapper this past weekend announced he was “53 million dollars in personal debt” and thereafter embarked on a campaign to ask for financial help from multibillionaire tech bosses Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook co-founder, and Larry Page, Google co-founder.

“Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas,” West tweeted, “after realising he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time.”

This latest social media rant has got many questioning the hit-maker’s state of mind.
