Celebrity couple Wahu and Nameless welcome baby girl

Musician couple Nameless and Wahu have announced the arrival of their baby girl.

The couple took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that they had welcomed a third child to their family, who was named after her eldest sister, Shiru.

Calling it a special day for them, Nameless, 46, shared an Instagram carousel with photos of Wahu and Shiru in a hospital bed moments after her birth.

He also shared a video of the moment, writing: “My first earthly connection with my third born Daughter, Shiru, named after my eldest sister @rosemarymutunkei according to Kikuyu tradition. We’ll also give her an African name soon.”

The 'Coming Home' singer thanked his fans for their goodwill messages and informed them that Wahu was fine "and excited to start this journey together.”

On her part, 42-year-old Wahu shared a video with the newborn and thanked God for seeing her through the pregnancy journey, which she said was characterised by "a myriad of emotions."

"From the moment I knew I was carrying you I loved you. I’ve loved every kick & turn you made, the doctor’s visits where I saw your heartbeat; I’ve loved singing to you, talking to you," she captioned the video.

"I’ve worried, I’ve prayed and felt a myriad of emotions for the past 9 months, and here we are now… when I finally get hold you in my arms for the 1st time. It’s difficult to explain this moment…all I can say is Thank you God. You have seen us through,” added the 'Sweet Love' hitmaker.

Shiru joins the power couple's 16-year-old daughter, Tumiso, and Nyakio who is 9 years old.

Wahu's surprise baby shower earlier this month was graced by their close friends among them Sauti Sol singer Bien-Aime Baraza and his partner Chiki Kuruka, among others.
