Congolese megastar Koffi Olomide, 69, has officially tied the knot with longtime partner and singer Cindy Le Coeur, 43, in a colourful private wedding ceremony after dating for 18 years.

The couple formalised their union before family members and close friends in the intimate event that blended Congolese culture and music.

The rumba legend took to his social media pages flaunting Cindy's elegant outfit, donning a chic traditional attire adorned with intricate patterns, while he wore coordinated cultural regalia befitting the occasion.

Cindy Le Coeur, in a past interview, revealed that she first met Koffi in 2006 when she joined his band Quartier Latin International as a vocalist and artistic director.

She further intimated that their romantic relationship officially began in 2008, marking the start of nearly two decades of love before their civil marriage.

Other celebrities, entertainers, and supporters flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising the couple for solidifying their long-standing bond.

Some fans noted that the wedding symbolises the union of two generations within the rumba scene, a veteran icon and one of the genre’s most prominent contemporary female voices.

Olomide, whose career spans more than four decades, remains one of Africa’s most influential rumba artists, credited with shaping modern Congolese music and mentoring numerous stars.
