Fast-rising dancehall singer Ghetto Grade is about to premiere
the widely-awaited ‘Buss No Matik’ music video, set to drop on Friday, May 3,
2024.
The blazing track, the lead single off the sizzling ‘Mindstate
Medley’, sees Ghetto Grade go all out in a thunderous explosion of rhythm and
vibes.
‘Buss No Matik’ brings the vibes straight from the streets,
featuring Ghetto Grade alongside 7 other top artists; Pro Spyke, Ajo, Kdon,
Knamics, Unrully Dog, Mamji, Junior Di Boss, Marcus Original, and Jrose.
The medley will drop as a teaser that will see each artist
unleash their individual music videos soon.
Kicking off the much-anticipated lineup is Ghetto Grade
himself, an award-winning dancehall artist already taking the industry by
storm.
In ‘Buss No Matik"’, Ghetto Grade tackles the issue of
attention seeking in the Kenyan dancehall industry head-on, blasting the
culture and calling out Kenyans who have made it their habit to pull cheap
stunts for quick publicity.
"The song is basically me saying that I don't need all
the drama and madness to get attention," Ghetto Grade says.
"When I step up, the entire place is going to feel my
impact! I'm coming to take over the crown and remind everyone what music really
is all about."
Ghetto Grade also spoke about his biggest 2024 project saying
that completing his album ‘Ghetto Story’, was one of his proudest moment.
"I'm seeking to drop it early next year as I also branch
out into doing more international projects and collaborations," he said.
"I'm glad that Kenya has seen a resurgence of dancehall riddims. My message is: 'Let's keep the support coming as we strive to make Kenyan dancehall cross boarders.'"
