Footballer Adebayor sends emotional message to hospitalized Sitya Loss dancer

Togolese professional footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor has sent a get well message to Patricia Nabakooza.

Nabakooza is a Ugandan teen who featured as a dancer in Eddy Kenzo’s popular Sitya Loss video.

The 12-year-old is hospitalized at Case Clinic in Kampala where she is nursing serious head injuries sustained in a bicycle accident which led to the death of her fellow dancer Alex Ssempijja.

Alex who was riding the bicycle with malfunctioning brakes died instantly and was buried on Wednesday, December 2.

In his message, Adebayor who has played for top English clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur says: “Hi my lovely sister Patricia, this is your bro Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor.

“I am here to wish you a quick recovery…and it is so sad we lost Alex but I’m sure he is in good hands and God is in control let us pray for his soul to rest in perfect peace.”

“I’m praying for you as well to get back on your feet quickly so that you can move again, dance again.

“I’ve been watching you on YouTube, Instagram keep doing what you are doing and make sure you make our brother Alex happy wherever he is and I can guarantee you.

“Much love from Togo, and we are all Africans so we have to be together in sad moments and the good moments we have to enjoy together, Peace and one love,” Adebayor signed off.

The #PrayforPatricia hashtag is being used to send messages from fans all over the world.

The 2014 hit song, Sitya Loss, by Eddy Kenzo now stands at over 15million YouTube views and the artiste behind the track will forever be grateful for this hit as he won a BET Viewer’s choice, Best New International Artist in the process.
