Former US President Barack Obama.

Once again this
year, former US President Barack Obama has graced us with a playlist of hits he
is grooving to in the summer.
Nigerian singer
Tems’ ‘Vibe out’, Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, Buju and Pheelz’s ‘Finesse’ and
Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Die Hard’ made the cut this time, along with Beyoncé’s ‘Break My Soul’.
Taking to Twitter
on Tuesday, the self-confessed melophile said: “Every year, I get excited to
share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your
replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.”
He even invited
followers to plug some of their current favourite tunes, adding: “Here’s what
I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”
The tradition of
sharing his musical playlist has been running since Obama was president, and it
is safe to say that Burna Boy is held dear in the Obama household.
Three years ago,
his smash hit ‘Anybody’ made Obama’s summer playlist, as well as his favourite
music of 2019 list.
A year later, his
2019 song ‘My Money, My Baby’, made Michelle Obama’s 2020 Workout Playlist.
