Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo announces engagement

Chinwo said ‘Yes’ to her boyfriend Blessed Uzochikwa, whom she described as not only a friend but a partner in her Christianity journey.

“I am grateful to God that this happened at the right time. For me, it is divine. I want to use this medium to encourage you out there. Trust in God, yours will definitely happen," she said on the engagement. 

“I am not just getting married to my friend, I am getting married to someone that will join me in my walk with God. It is interesting because we are here to fulfil purpose,” she added.

On his part, Pastor Uzochikwa thanked Mercy for saying 'yes' to his proposal. 

He wrote; "I’m the man the lord showed Mercy! @mercychinwo thanks for saying yes! I love you dearly!.

Chinwo is known for hit songs like Excess Love, Omekanaya, and Obinasom, while Uzochikwa is a pastor of Lagos-based The Waterbrook (TWB) church.
