Media personality and business lady Betty Kyallo has spoken out after reports of her business Flair by Betty being up for auction hit the headlines.

While reacting on Instagram, the flamboyant celebrity blamed the harsh business climate in Kenya for her current woes, admitting that it was tough to run a business and that she had accepted her fate.

"Obviously, running a business in Kenya has become so difficult," she wrote.

"Landlords don't want to reduce rent and it uh becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown. I let it go."

Kyallo also said she had found "happiness and peace" after letting go of Flair By Betty.

"I am happier. I sleep better. My peace of mind is more important than a name. I'm good," she reiterated.

She also took the opportunity to reveal that she's reopening her other business Aftershave By Flair, which specifically caters for men.

"Also, after two months of expansion, we reopen Aftershave By Flair. Gentlemen, come through, I'll be there today!" she wrote.

In a public notice published in the local dailies, Keysian Auctioneers announced that items on the premises will be sold by public auction on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the case presented by the landlord over pending rent arrears.

The auction is set to take place at Leakey's Storage Limited along Lunga-Lunga road in Nairobi.
