Sarah had bared it all in an interview with YouTuber Christine Lewis, saying that she was sick of leading a double life, posing as the perfect couple on social media while suffering in silence when the cameras went off.
After the internet went ablaze with the story which has been trending since Tuesday, Sarah has, however, resurfaced to state that she made the apparent revelations in distress.
“Sorry my Fam. when i was in distress I said things that i shouldn't have said online and thus misleading,” she wrote in an Instagram Story shared Wednesday morning.
In what seemed like a public apology to her husband, Sarah told Simon that she had resolved to keep their issues off the interwebs, for now.
“Life is a lesson and we learn everyday. Forgive me Simon. Let's sort our issues off-line. All is well,” she added, further calling on her followers to keep the couple in prayers.
“Please keep us in prayers #Marriageworks”.
In the wide-ranging tell-all ranging from baby mama drama to her children being taken away by their father, Sarah said that her marriage issues go back ten years.
“It reached a point where I said I don’t want to live a fake life anymore. I will live the real me and who I am. Sometimes I see people are getting inspired by me and yet I’m just showing the good part, they have not seen the bad part,” Sarah disclosed.
“Many look at us like humble people, and we have become soft targets for bad people and that’s why you see sometimes I hit back. 70 percent were very good people,”
During the interview, the Bonfire Adventures MD revealed that one of her New Year's resolutions was to leave the union, which had begun to wear her down.
“We have been discussing separation because I have been telling him I’m not so comfortable in this marriage and I’m tired of faking and we are in discussions. I wanted a peaceful separation and even co-parenting,” she added.
She also spoke about a recent tense incident between her and her husband, which escalated to the point of involving the police.
“I told him I will be moving out... just to calm and relax and take a breather. That day I slept at TradeMark Hotel and the next when I came home... he had organized and picked the kids and went to Amboseli without my knowledge,” she recounted.
Sarah believes that her children being taken away without her consent was extremely disrespectful. She claims that her attempts to reach an agreement with the father of her children met with a brick wall, forcing her to call the cops.
“I felt we should have had a better way of doing this… I feel very scared and distressed and feel my kids should not be put in such a situation,” she added.
"I tried talking to the father and he could not listen, called his many friends, telling him its bad to take the kids alone. At some point we had to involve the police.. it was 10 days with a lot of pressure and chase...We have had challenges for the last 10 years, but it reaches a point you get tired,”
Sarah, who used to go by the moniker 'CEO of Goat Wives Association' on local gossip sites, also admitted that the baby mama drama had gotten to her, especially after the couple began showering each other with lavish gifts online.
Before meeting Sarah, Kabu had two children from two previous relationships: a boy and a girl.
"One of the baby mama’s is very dramatic, sometimes I see her insulting him and sending me messages and all that... at one time he wanted to bring one of the kids home but I told him to give them support from a distance because I need my family close,” she added.
"I did not come to pick you from one of their houses, I found you a miserable young man na tumejijenga… but now of late after we did the public display of gifting our children properties, the other kids have been very aggressive.”
