Kate Actress lands new ambassadorial role

Award-winning Kenyan actress Catherine Karanja, popularly known as Kate Actress, is now the face of beauty brand Nice & Lovely.

She was named the brand’s ambassador on Wednesday during a ceremony held by Nice & Lovely’s mother company, L’Oréal, in Nairobi.

Kate will be tasked with enhancing the brand’s awareness and educating customers on use and application of a variety of beauty products under the Nice & Lovely brand.

 “The best ambassador we could partner with is Kate.  Kate is authentic. She represents the modern Kenyan woman,” L’Oréal East Africa Managing Director Serge Sacre said during the launch event.

“She represents family, she is trusted, has fantastic skin, above all she is loved by Kenyans and you want to be like her. This was the best match. We are very happy to be signing this with Kate.”

Taking to social media moments after the event, Kate expressed enthusiasm and gratitude to being named the brand’s ambassador.

“Nasiwezi jizuia, we did it my watuz, you all kept manifesting this for me, it’s here. The official face of nice and lovely Kenya,” she said in an Instagram post.

Kate’s Instagram handle was also awash with congratulatory messages from other celebrities such as Joy Kendi, Jackie Matubia, Anita Nderu and Njoki Muriithi among others and Kenyans alike who wished her well in her new role.
