The family of veteran Kenyan musician Patrick Gichuki Mwangi, popularly known as Patonee, is appealing for help from well-wishers after he was hospitalized.

According to the family, Patonee was admitted to hospital on October 1, 2022 in critical condition and is presently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“His hospital care is expensive, and has been growing at a rate of Ksh.200.000 per day. There are plans to hold a physical fund-raising event at a later date to be communicated,” stated the family in a poster seen by Citizen Digital.

“However, given the growing bills, the family is requesting your assistance to support with any advance contribution towards offsetting our bill.”

The family hence requested for any contributions to be submitted through M-Changa to: Patrick Mwangi – [Paybill Number: 891300], [Account Number: 58759].

Patonee is most famously known for his 2006 smash hit ‘Talk to me’, featuring fellow Kenyan legends Big Pin and Amani.

He however vanished from the music scene after that, leaving many of his fans wondering about his whereabouts.
