Loyalty: Njugush, wife reward Abel Mutua after years of ‘true friendship’

Kenyan comedian Njugush, whose real name is Timothy Kimani, has gifted his friend Abel Mutua an iPhone X, whose price is estimated at Ksh115, 000.

Njugush gave Mr Mutua the gift on his birthday, rewarding him for “true friendship” that spans close to a decade.

Abel Mutua took to photo and video-sharing networking service, Instagram, to reveal that he had received the high-end phone from his crony Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda.

“You [Njugush and Ms Ndinda] have been such a blessing to me. The birthday gift you sent me last week rendered me speechless for a whole week; words cannot explain. You are God-sent. We would use this iPhone X [that you gifted me with] to capture every moment that marks your blessings. Together, we are going far,” said Mr Mutua on Instagram.

Abel Mutua and Njugush, who pursued journalism course at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), have been good friends since their days in college, and even went ahead to produce local drama ‘The Real Househelps of Kawangware’, which airs on KTN.

The two have since withdrawn their production services from the show, and have been pursuing their personal interests, with Njugush going fully into short video clip comedies, which he posts to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
