Nick Mutuma remains mum on rumours of break up with Bridget Shighadi

Producer and director Nick Mutuma has remained mum on rumours that he and actress Bridget Shighadi are no longer engaged.

Speaking to Nation Africa during the premiere screening of the Guinness Black Shine Brightest Stories Series, which he also directed, Mutuma avoided the topic. “Tonight is all about Black Shine Brightest Stories which has been the most hyped project. I don’t need to ruin the night commenting about my personal life,” he said.

When questioned more about his family, Mutuma responded coolly that everything was fine. “My family is okay, the baby is okay. No further comment,” he said.

Bridgit ignited the rumours last month when she travelled to Dubai to celebrate her 31st birthday and posted the opulent weekend excursion on social media. 

The actress's Instagram was swamped with photos of her having the time of her life. Everything was elegant, glitzy, and lavish. Mutuma, however, was noticeably absent.

However, some of the couple's fans saw this strange circumstance and came to the conclusion that the two were no longer dating. The actor did not send any birthday wishes to his daughter's mother, as he did last year when she turned 30. “May this day be as sunny as your smile. Happy birthday Bridget Shighadi and welcome to the third floor. Help me wish Mama Dua a happy birthday.” Nick Mutuma wrote in 2021.
