Acclaimed Kenyan actress, Brenda Wairimu, failed to participate in BET’s Top Actor Africa auditions in South Africa despite being invited for the prestigious game show.

The actress turned down the auditions, which would have given her exposure to some of Hollywood’s top talents scouts, because they gave her “too short a notice”.

The auditions are scheduled to be on Friday; however Brenda only got communication a day to the event.

Two days ago, Wairimu could not keep her excitement at bay when the officials of the show communicated that she had been nominated to participate in the auditions in Johannesburg, South Africa.

She went on to share the conversation on Instagram with her fans asking them to keep their fingers crossed.

For her fans, this opportunity would see her open doors that could see her follow in the foot steps of Oscar Award winner, Lupita Nyong’o.

However, on Thursday, she admitted that it was impossible to get both the visa and ticket to fly to the destination by Friday.

She announced that she had to forfeit her spot, but thanked her fans for the support.
