Prince Harry and Meghan filming docuseries in Ksh.11B deal with Netflix
Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the
Duchess of Sussex, are said to be filming a Netflix documentary series as part
of their £80 million (Ksh.11.6 billion) deal with the streaming giant.
The series, said to serve ‘Keeping Up With
The Kardashians’ vibes, will be filmed at the couple’s Santa Barbara home
where the world will have a glimpse of life inside the $14 million (Ksh.1.6
billion) mansion.
Even though no specific timeline has been
given for the premiere, reports by international media say it is expected to launch
towards the end of the year.
"The timing is still being discussed,
things are up in the air," a Hollywood insider told the New York Post,
adding that the couple preferred it to be aired in 2023.
The end-of-year setting, according to the
show's producer, is meant to concur with Prince Harry's memoir.
Although the sources did not reveal the
contents of the docuseries, speculations point to tales of an “at-home with
the Duke and Duchess-style” type of show.
It further points out that the Sussexes have
been working with production crews for several months.
This comes two years after Meghan and Harry
denied they were filming a reality series for the streamer.
At the time, their representative said: “The
Duke and Duchess do not participate in reality shows.”
